On August 18, 2015, Dr. Shobha Krishnan, founder and president of the Global Initiative Against HPV and Cervical Cancer, presented on the progress and issues still facing women when it comes to this deadly disease. Dr. Krishnan offered five key “P”s for participants interested in leading their own public health crusade:

• Passion
• Patience
• Positive
• Perseverance
• Persistence

Dr. Krishnan said that by living these traits, and combining them with creativity and flexibility, she has been able to build her organization and simultaneously provide better healthcare for women globally.
