Dr. Shobha Krishnan met with heads of the rural outreach program and gynecologic oncology at the Christian Medical Center in Vellore. Discussions were held on existing programs and tools that were required for scaling up and sustainability. Consensus was reached that more effort had to be devoted to strengthening the education, training and advocacy program for wider acceptance of cervical cancer screening and knowledge about the HPV vaccine.

She also met with trustees of the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation who are very interested in working to spread HPV and cervical cancer awareness on a sustained basis to the public and media using a digital platform.
