Dr. Latha Balasubramani is a medical graduate from India. She went on to specialize in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She completed her fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology from the Royal Marsden Hospital and St. Bart’s Hospitals, UK. She has been working as a Gynae oncologist at G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore, India since 2011and is currently also the head of preventive and community oncology. Latha is the current secretary of AOGIN – India which works specifically on HPV related genital diseases. Her special interests are in the use of HPV self-sampling to increase cervical cancer screening participation and in working with communities to improve their access to screening services.
