GIAHC Young leaders raise funds for Malawi to mark World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day

At the World Health Assembly on May 23, 2025, the WHO declared November 17th as the World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day. In order to mark the significance of this day, GIAHC Young leaders have launched a fundraising initiative, running from November 17th through the end of January 206, in support of the Youth Against Cervical Cancer Alliance (YoACA) in Malawi.. This project aims to strengthen educational initiatives promoting HPV vaccination among girls aged 9–14.
Malawi faces the highest incidence of cervical cancer in the world, with an age-standardized rate of 67.7 per 100,000 women. This cause holds special significance for our team, as one of our current GIAHC Young Leaders actively partners with YoACA in Malawi and has witnessed firsthand the profound impact of their work.
Your contributions will help expand access to life-saving education and prevention resources, empowering young girls and communities to build a healthier future. Thank you for your support!
