GIAHC president Dr. Shobha Krishnan has been invited to organize and speak at a symposium on to participate in the 31st International Papillomavirus Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, held February 28 – March 4, 2017. Through workshops, invited lectures, and oral and poster sessions presenting the latest research results, the conference will cover papillomavirus-related topics from basic science to global health impact.
Dr. Krishnan will be participating in a symposium titled The World Could End Cervical Cancer, if it Tried: Sharing Experiences from Community Outreach Programs Around the Globe. Dr. Krishnan will focus on engaging youth in cervical cancer prevention in her talk, Embracing the Power of Youth: HPV and Cervical Cancer Champions.
