Women in Asia are diagnosed with cervical cancer at a disproportionately higher rate than the
global average. Despite early diagnosis leading to more effective treatment, many factors in the
region prevent women from receiving the care that they need, and the consequences are
severe, affecting not only women as individuals, but society at large.
