Tyler Struver, Outreach Co-Chair

Tyler earned her BS in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University in May 2026, with a minor in Global Health and a certificate in Healthcare Policy and Delivery. Her academic interests focus on the intersection of medicine, healthcare systems, ethics, and public trust. During her undergraduate studies, Tyler completed an honors thesis examining how anti-intellectualism and social media contribute to HPV vaccine hesitancy, exploring how tensions between individual autonomy and public health shape vaccine decision-making. Motivated to translate research into action, she expanded her research group into an active student organization dedicated to increasing HPV education, strengthening vaccine accessibility, and fostering inclusive, evidence-based dialogue on campus. In addition to her advocacy work, Tyler serves as an Urgent Care Tech at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she works directly with patients and families to support patient and family-centered, compassionate care. She aspires to become a physician who cares for patients with empathy, builds connections between scientific institutions and the communities they serve, and contributes to meaningful change in our healthcare systems.
